（中央社記者呂欣憓台北9日電）民主進步黨主席暨總統參選人蔡英文今天祝賀緬甸諾貝爾和平獎得主翁山蘇姬率領的政黨「全國民主聯盟」（NLD）在大選中獲得大勝。她並期待台緬關係進一步強化。
緬甸昨天舉行世紀大選，民進黨晚間發布新聞稿，蔡英文表示，此次選舉全民盟的勝利，代表緬甸人民對一個新的民主自由時代的期待。長年獻身民主運動的翁山蘇姬一直是全世界民主人士的模範，蔡英文也希望台緬關係未來能進一步強化。
民進黨表示，蔡英文9月在民進黨黨慶外交酒會中公開其「新南向政策」之外交政策主軸。 蔡英文希望明年1月如能獲得選民支持，當選後將加強台灣與東協及印度次大陸各國之間的經貿投資、文化、教育等多面向合作。1041109
